Dr. Kacey Liu and our MPhil graduate Anna Yin participated in the International Conference on “Large Language Models and Data Science Applications in the Humanities and Social Sciences”, held at Saint Francis University, Hong Kong.

Funded by the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong and co-organised by Saint Francis University and Hong Kong Chu Hai College, the two-day conference brought together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to explore the evolving applications of artificial intelligence, large language models, and data science in the humanities and social sciences.

During the conference, Dr. Kacey Liu and Anna Yin presented their paper entitled “Talking about AI Over Time: An Analysis of Topic Structure and Rhetorical Stability in TED Talks”, contributing to broader academic discussions on artificial intelligence, language studies, and data-driven approaches in the humanities and social sciences.
