Part-time Lecturer positions

The Department of English Language and Literature invites applications for the posts of part-time Lecturer to start in January 2023. Applicants should have a recognized degree in English or a related subject and demonstrated ability to teach academic literacy and general English language skills effectively at the undergraduate level. Preference will be given to applicants with a higher degree in English or a related subject and at least two years’ tertiary level teaching experience.

Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor

The Department of English Language and Literature invites applications for the post of full-time Professor, Associate or Assistant Professor to start in January or August 2024. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in English specializing in literature, and demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels while pursuing an active research agenda. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in research postgraduate supervision. Successful candidates may also be asked to contribute to the teaching of academic literacy.  Preference will be given to applicants with substantial tertiary level teaching experience and an established track record in research and publication.
