From 11 to 12 July 2026, our MPhil student Alisa participated in the PCTI 2026 Conference held at Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University in Guangzhou, Mainland China.

Organized by the Professional Committee of Translation and Interpreting (PCTI) of the China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese (CACSEC), the conference brought together more than 170 scholars and researchers from various institutions. The two-day event featured one main forum and six parallel thematic sessions, providing a valuable platform for academic exchange in translation and interpreting studies.

Alisa participated in Thematic Forum 4: Translation of Foreign Literature, Translation History and Criticism and delivered a presentation entitled “合譯中的權力博弈：陳壽彭、薛紹徽譯《八十日環遊記》再探”. The presentation was based on a Chinese-language paper completed under the supervision of Dr. Kacey Liu. The presentation received positive feedback and constructive suggestions from panel experts, contributing to the further refinement of the study.
