GOLA Book Club - May 30th 2025

I was delighted to be invited to present and discuss the works of Haruki Murakami at the Government Official Language Officers Association Book Club meeting.

More than ten participants joined in a discussion of Murakami's translated work and its impact. We then focused on three short stories for our conversation. It was wonderful to meet a group of dedicated readers and fans of the Japanese genius!

As if proof that great minds think alike, our university library has a pop-up display of Murakami's work in both English and Chinese so now is a perfect time to enter his unique world. Happy Reading!
