B. Freudenberg again visited Yamaguchi University this year with the support of Prof. Hiroshi Kobayashi at the Graduate School of East Asian Studies. He delivered a talk titled 「神話は言語である」：フロイトとラカンでレヴィ＝ストロースを読む ('Myth is language': Reading Lévi-Strauss with Freud and Lacan) for an interdisciplinary seminar of 3rd and 4th year students in the Humanities Dept. on July 17. Furthermore, he participated in the Yamaguchi Gion Festival (山口祇園祭) alongside Prof. Kobayashi and the contingent of Yamaguchi University staff and students on July 20.
