As part of the Contemporary Literature course, we are delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Marieka from The Africa Center, Hong Kong. She will be talking about and leading a discussion on Under the Udala Trees a novel by Chinelo Okparanta published in 2015. The novel is set in 1960s Nigeria and tells the story of a girl moving through adolescence and understanding her sexuality and her society.
